9 Herbs for Love & Connection

These are our go-to herbs for more ease, connection, and feel-good energy (solo or shared) this month.*

Motherwort

A fast-acting nervine that soothes frazzled nerves, eases overwhelm, and supports moments of emotional intensity.* Think: road rage, a weepy tender day, or the jitters before a date.

How to use: Tincture > capsules. Motherwort is best in liquid form — the aromatic taste is part of what makes it effective. Add to sparkling water to bring the aromatics to life and mellow the bitterness.

Rose

Rich in aromatic compounds and antioxidants, Rose has a long history of traditional use for emotional support.* Think: when you feel tender, guarded, or like you need to soften (without falling apart).

How to use: Rose is all about the aromatics. Brew rose petal tea with honey, add rosewater or rose tincture to sparkling water, or toss petals into desserts or a hot bath for full-body calm.

Bacopa

A traditional nootropic used to support memory, focus, and cognitive function — especially during stress.* Think: brain fog, mental overload, or when your nervous system feels fried.

How to use: Bacopa works best with consistency — take daily (capsules are easiest) for long-term mental clarity and resilience.*

Lemon Balm

A bright, soothing nervine traditionally used to support relaxation and emotional balance.* Think: doom scrolling, overstimulation, Sunday scaries, or wired-but-tired nights.

How to use: Lemon balm tea = nothing better. Or take as a tincture for on-the-go calm. Bonus: fresh lemon balm in salads + pesto is a lowkey power move.

Damiana

Aphrodisiac herb with a long history of traditional use for relaxation, mood support, and sensual vitality.* Think: when you want to feel playful, connected, and more in your body.

How to use: Try damiana rose syrup with honey, mix the tincture into a botanical mocktail, or pair with chocolate in a truffle.

Cacao

Rich in naturally occurring theobromine — traditionally associated with mood support, circulation, and that warm “open-hearted” feeling.* Which is why it’s the MVP of love + pleasure, and our go-to feel-good indulgence.

How to use: Sip cacao on winter nights, blend into an herbal “love potion,” or turn it into a dessert drizzle. Higher % cacao = more beneficial plant compounds and less sugar — we love 70%+.

Maca

A traditional vitality tonic rich in naturally occurring plant compounds (like macamides + macaenes), tied to maca’s long history of use for vitality + stamina.* Think: low energy, low desire, or when you want to feel more turned on… by life.

How to use: Nutty flavor that’s perfect in smoothies, energy balls, or stirred into warm milk.

Ginger

Traditionally used to support digestion, circulation, and warmth — aka it gets things moving.* Think: sluggish energy, feeling cold, heavy meals, or needing a little extra spark.

How to use: Fresh ginger tea with honey + lemon, grated into stir-fries, or infused into honey/chocolate.

Shatavari

In Ayurveda, it’s famously called “the herb of the woman with 1,000 husbands,” and traditionally used to support vitality, energy, and overall wellness.*

How to use: Stir into warm milk with cardamom + honey, or mix into honey as an herbal “paste” and eat by the spoon
